Its official! Suriya’s KV Anand directed Maatran produced by AGS Entertainment’s has sold the Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka theatrical rights to Eros International Media Ltd (Eros Entertainment). Eros has been assigned the Tamil theatrical rights for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka and the Tamil audio rights of the movie. A press statement has been issued by Eros.Commenting on the acquisition, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd said, “With Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence in the regional film markets. Suriya turns 36 today! The star was born on July 23, 1975 in Chennai to actor Siva Kumar and Lakshmi. Suriya entered the film industry with Nerukku Ner in which he shared the screen space with Vijay in 1997. After a few years, he went on to play the second hero in Friends, once again with Vijay taking up the lead role. The star’s break came in Nandha, a critically acclaimed film from Bala and since then Suriya has had some enviable roles which upped his star status.
