 Suriya is once again going to play the daredevil cop Dorai Singam in Singam 2, Hari directed sequel to his popular Singam(2010). It is going to be Suriya’s first sequel and the fourth time he is pairing up with director Hari.The shoot of Singam 2 will start in June once Suriya completes his KV Anand starrer Matraan. There are two heroines in Singam 2, Anushka and Hansika along with Vivekh, Vijayakumar, Radha Ravi, Nassar who were part of the original.In addition Rahman will play an important role in the film along with a few others. It  will have music by Devi Sri Prasad and camera by Priyan. The film will be shot in Chennai, Hyderabad,Thuthukudi, Tirunelveli, Karaikudi and songs and fight scenes in Kenya and South Africa. Singam 2 is going to be an even bigger action packed police story with the right amount of emotions. It will be produced by Laxman C for Prince Pictures.

Its official! Suriya’s KV Anand directed Maatran produced by AGS Entertainment’s has sold the Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka theatrical rights to Eros International Media Ltd (Eros Entertainment). Eros has been assigned the Tamil theatrical rights for Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka and the Tamil audio rights of the movie. A press statement has been issued by Eros.Commenting on the acquisition, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd said, “With Maatraan, Eros continues to explore and establish its presence in the regional film markets. Harris Jayaraj, the happening music composer is back with his Ayan combo Suriya and K.V. Anand and their upcoming venture is titled as Maatraan. The Oru kal Oru Kannadi music composer speaking about Suriya and Kajal starrer Maatraan said, "Maatraan album is almost done with its work, the entire album will be ready within a month of time and the makers are planning to release the audio soon." Further he added, "We finished 3 songs in 7 days; Composition for album of Maatraan was done in 6 countries. KV Anand and I traveled on a cruise and the ship has touched many countries in its journey, mostly along the Mediterranean Sea and the idea was entirely Anand's. 7aum Arivu’s audio launch is to happen on September 22nd at the Chennai Trade Centre and the preparations are on at full swing.
